Fantastic stuff, maybe a change of name to "Birding the fast lane" might work.
I feel for the navigator, yes I am crap too, having spent well over an hour in the US getting very confused how to read road name signs. The horror of going North/South at every junction, instead of West or East. It was only when I was pulled over by a cop for running a red light could I utter those imortal words "Errrm I am English", which seemed to work.

'I am English' kind of gets you out of anything.
