Nice gallery peter! i won't exclude the possibility of european herring gull (argentatus) in azores in some cases or even some of the so-calles islandic hybrids (argentatus-smith)..can't really clinch the bird on plate 6 and 9 from top but am not a pro of AMHG. We had an adult recently at TCR and these one is also very tricky to tell unless you have a good shot of wing and primary pattern..

Indeed- the iceland birds could be very problematic.
